The 292,000-square-foot structure, KU’s hub for research and education in the sciences, was named the Integrated Science Building when it opened in 2018.
It is the centerpiece of more than $700 million in capital improvement projects overseen by former Chancellor Bernadette Gray-Little during her tenure at KU from 2009 to 2017. The Kansas Board of Regents approved renaming the building in Gray-Little’s honor in 2019, to be effective in spring 2020.
Gray-Little Hall, now home to KU’s Department of Chemistry, features classrooms, labs, and lecture space for teaching, learning, and interdisciplinary research in chemistry, medicinal chemistry, physics, molecular biosciences, and related fields.
